Floral Workshop at Ebenrieder

I am very happy to announce our next floral workshop. This time together with the artist Nina Lang at the wonderful Ebenrieder farmhouse.

About the Workshop
In this workshop, we will spend a full day exploring the art of working with flowers in a playful and intuitive way. After a brief theoretical introduction, we willl dive straight into practice: Using a vibrant selection of seasonal blooms, leaves, and berries, you’ll create your own unique hand-tied bouquet. Along the way, you’ll learn how to craft a harmonious composition and discover essential tips for handling different types of flowers.
Then a light, vegetarian summer menu awaits you – fresh, seasonal, and harvested straight from Ebenrieder's garden. If the weather allows, we’ll dine outdoors amidst nature; otherwise, we’ll gather in the spacious barn at a beautifully decorated long table.

From Flowers to Canvas
In the afternoon, we will translate the morning’s floral creations into paintings on paper or canvas. Using a variety of media such as gouache, pastels, ink, and acrylics, you’ll be encouraged to interpret your floral arrangement freely, immerse yourself in the moment, and focus solely on observing and painting.

A Day of Creativity and Relaxation
Working with flowers – both arranging and painting them – is not only a creative but also a meditative process, allowing you to slow down, unwind, and step away from the demands of everyday life. Look forward to an inspiring day in a magical setting.

Personalized Guidance by Nora Khereddine and Nina Lang
With patience, expertise, and a keen sense of artistic composition, Nora and Nina will guide you through the entire process – from the initial idea to the finished piece. They will help you discover your own unique artistic language through flowers. As a special takeaway, you’ll leave with both your floral creation and your own painting.

Who is this workshop for?
Whether you're a beginner or have prior experience, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to explore and develop your personal artistic style.

About the exhibition

Her magnificent, deceptively realistic floral still lifes with plants and fruits, butterflies and insects from the most diverse regions of the world already became sought-after and expensive collector's items during her lifetime. Demand was so great that the Amsterdam painter could afford to produce merely a few works a year. As the daughter of the renowned professor of anatomy and botany, Frederik Ruysch, the first female member of the Confrerie Pictura, court painter in Düsseldorf, lottery game winner and the mother of ten children, she was an exceptional figure in her time. The Alte Pinakothek will present the world's first major monographic exhibition of her work. Discover the wondrous world of Rachel Ruysch (1664–1750) between art and science, perfected fine painting and artistic freedom amidst illustrious patrons in Amsterdam, Düsseldorf and Florence.

Exhibition organized by Alte Pinakothek, Munich, Toledo Museum of Art, Ohio, and Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

Curators: Bernd Ebert (Alte Pinakothek Munich), Robert Schindler (Toledo Museum of Art, Ohio), Anna C. Knaap (Museum of Fine Arts, Boston)
Research Assistant Alte Pinakothek Munich: Selvi Göktepe

The exhibition is held under the patronage of Sophie Prinzessin von Bayern.
