These tea strainers are hand-woven in Kyoto. Artefacts that were found in the Kyoto area proof that this special wire netting technique („Kanaami”) has been used to make cooking utensils for thousand years. It is until today, that every strainer is completely handmade.

The tea strainer is dishwasher safe but in order to enjoy the changes in copper aging with long-term use, we do recommend to wash it by hand.
